The Warriors were a short-lived continuation of The Last Resort.
When The Last Resort quit in february 1982 the remaining members
(Roi Pearce, Charlie Duggan and Arthur Kitchener) founded The
Warriors in which they were joined by drummer John Fischer who
would later play for Combat 84, The Gonads and The Business. In
this line-up they recorded two songs and did two gigs throughout
1982 before calling it a day.
Their first studio effort was the song 'Horror Show' which
originally appeared at the 'Oi! Oi! That's Yer Lot!' compilation in
september 1982. The band's second studio effort was 'Wicked Women',
which originally appeared at the 'United Skins' compilation in
october 1982. In november of that year The Warriors played their
second and last gig of the 80ies. The band quit en vocalist Roi
joined the 4 Skins while bass player Arthur 'Bilko' Kitchener
became a he became a successful and respected ska musician with
bands like Arthur Kay's Originators and Arthur Kay & The
Originals.
Both songs are now collected on a 7" and include a fold-out cover
with liner notes and pictures. Both songs have been remastered for
vinyl and pressed on 45rpm for a better sound quality.
