Backyard Superheroes have been playing their brand of high energy,
sugar fueled ska/pop/punk for 12 years. Known for the memorable
live show and catchy sing along anthems, Backyard Superheroes are
happy to be releasing their newest album “MASS HYSTERIA” on Jump Up
Records. This album tackles mental health issues that we have all
dealt with over the past few years, but wraps up those themes with
a brightly colored bow.
Hailing from the pizza capital of the world, New Jersey, the 9
piece Backyard Superheroes have played hundreds of shows, been on 2
nation wide tours, and shared the stage with tons of notable ska
and punk bands. The band mixes big rock n roll riffs, with blaring
horns and ska flair to provide listeners with a soundtrack that
fits perfect for your summer bbq or a marathon video game
session.
They have been compared to Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Mustard
Plug, Mad Caddies, Suicide Machines, among other popular American
bands who fueled the style during the 90s. Notable performances
include Skate and Surf Festival (2013-2015), Skanksgiving (2013,
2014), Atlantic City Music and Beer Festival (2014), Jersey Shore
Festival (2015), Supernova Ska Festival (2017) and Ska At The Shore
(Atlantic City 2021).
